Christmas Ice Cream

Choose your favorite candy and/or fruit and turn it into ice cream! Anything is possible. You could choose Daim, Toblerone, banana, strawberry, or Turkish Pepper. You still have plenty of time before the holidays, so experiment a bit and perfect your ice cream before Christmas. The basic recipe for 6 people is:

5 dl. heavy cream

4 egg yolks

60 grams sugar

Lightly whip the cream. Beat together egg yolks and sugar until the mixture is light and airy. Add the lightly whipped cream, stirring to blend. Add whatever mix-ins you like, then pour into an ice cream mold or a springform pan and freeze for at least 5 hours. We recommend serving the ice cream with fruit, more candy, or a sauce of your choice. It’s Christmas, after all!

Christmas Cookies

A foolproof recipe for delectable cookies. We recommend whipping up a batch when you want to do anything but keep studying for finals.

125 grams margarine

½ cup white sugar

½ cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 ½ cups flour

¼ tsp. baking soda

¼ tsp. salt

½ cup coconut flour

200 grams semisweet baking chocolate

When Christmas cookies are baked

the cookie-making-person first must take

a mixer and 125 grams of margarine.

Don’t melt the butter over the heat,

just add half a cup of white sugar

(and half a cup of brown).

When all that is done

toss one egg yolk (and the white…

so yes, one whole egg) in

plus “oneandahalfcups” of flour.

Mix well (plus half a cup of coconut flour

and 200 grams chopped chocolate).

Next you just have to add

a quarter teaspoon salt and soda.

Then all that’s left is to mix the dough

form into balls on a cookie sheet

and bake at 175 for 8-10 minutes.

Christmas Smoothie

By the second day after Christmas, no one can eat any more lamb, pork roast, nut loaf or ptarmigan. When that time comes, you’ll remember the Student Paper’s Christmas Smoothie and save the day.

1 container strawberry skyr

30 ml. coconut milk

3 bananas

Handful frozen strawberries

3 T cocoa powder or melted chocolate

Place the skyr, coconut milk, bananas, and strawberries in a blender and blend well. Add the cocoa powder or melted chocolate and enjoy.
